Grade 5 Area and Perimeter Webquest 

For this task we can work in pairs, work together to create two polygon shapes using pre measured and cut straws, we will have 3 different coloured straws each colour represents a length, Red measures at 2cm, Blue at 5cm, and Yellow at 8cm. Dont forget to record your "Key colours and their length". Once your shape is created and stuck onto coloured card please calculate the perimeter of the shape you have created. Compare your shape with your partner, does the property of the two shapes look equal in size? How does their perimeter compare? Be as creative as possible!
